We find many costume wigs with weird cutting and spots with deep holes where your real hair can shine through. As well the synthetic fibers used are less like natural hair and appear wirey and fake. However, budget wigs like this that come pre-styled are the easiest and most economical for those who do not wish to incur the cost of having a wig professionally styled or do not wish to style their wig themselves. 2) Synthetic Wig Bases - Appearing more common and realistic, these wigs come in a variety of hair colors and simple cuts from short, medium, and long and with simple variances like straight, wavy, or curly. They have a "skin top" cap which looks much like the top of a head when your hair is parted and is very realistic looking. The synthetic hair is a lot more fine and falls much like human hair and mostly you will not see these wigs pre-defined in character. 3) Custom Wigs - Very dramatic wigs as found in #2, however these are elaborate pieces. They can contain heavy braiding, large updos, objects woven in such as leaves, flowers, headpieces, and more. These professional wigs are used in shows, or for parties where you want to create a lot of attention. Full volume wigs in curly or loose curls and usually take several weeks to complete.
