This is an original shot from the front of Alice's costume. 

We started with Alice's buttons.  The unique pattern on the front made it almost impossible to find a button match, so we decided to hand paint the buttons.  Alice's front has 13 buttons, but as that is a very unlucky number we got 15 buttons to paint.  Using the fine tip of a calligraphy pen and some white paint, we painted the buttons with flowers, leaves, and vines to give them a similar appearance to Alice's original buttons.
