We had a fun time creating this deluxe mermaid suit. This costume was made from a hologram spandex material perfect wet or dry. The tail has an elastic band for added flexability. Around the mermaid's waist is a gold and pearl belt embellished in just like you would expect a mermaid to wear from bits of buried sunken ship treasure. Her long tail has holographic scales with pearled accents at the base of the tail. The flipper/fin is sewn with lines detailing out the fin and embellished with gold sequin strands. As well on the back of the tail is a dorsal fin embellished in the same way.
The tail is very comfortable to wear with a high slit for feet to easily walk without tripping. Here our mermaid wears golden sandels to compliment her costume. As well you can see the dorsal fin peeking through the back. The elegant top is actually sewn to look like two sea shells out of the same fabric and is draped with hanging pearl strands. We made a matching hair clip with more pearl strands, aqua calalilies, and gold accents to wear.
