This beautiful and etherial dress features an empire waist, sheer sleeves, frilly lacey details, and a long skirt.  Our customer came to us with the inspiration to use this concept for her upcoming prom, built to her own measurements.  The dress was built using white chiffon, lace, and a white satin interior.  The bodice was flatted and gathered across the bust and secured into place to form the neckline shown above.  The sleeves were constructed out of sheer chiffon with an elastic band at the cuff.  Over the shoulder, they are gathered into a puff to add fullness, and detail to the dress's silhoette.  Once the bodice was formed, lace trim was sewn into the seams at the neckline.  The bodice was then attached to the skirt and hemmed.

Here is a photo of the full-length finished dress.  Although the bodice is flatted, the skirt remains free-flowing as two pieces.  The dress's elegant neckline and sheer sleeves make it an ideal dress for summer, and simple elegance for any formal occasion.  View the detail shots appearing in the slideshow below.
